A Marsiya Literature Conference was organized by Bزمِ راحتِ سخن and خیالِ نو on December 14, 2025, Sunday, at the Salman Farsi Auditorium, Gulberg, Lahore.

The conference was presided over by Dr. Baseera Ambreen, Director of the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature, Punjab University, Oriental College. The paper presenters included Dr. Orfi Hashmi, Mr. Javed Hasan, Dr. Arsalan Rathore, and Dr. Azwar Sherazi.

The event was attended by prominent poets, writers, translators, researchers, and enthusiasts of Urdu literature from across Punjab. In her presidential address, Dr. Baseera Ambreen discussed the technical and aesthetic aspects of Urdu Marsiya poetry at length.

The audience applauded the excellent papers presented and the presidential address, appreciating the role of conference founder Kazim Nasiri and his associates in promoting Marsiya literature.
